Bluesplashy: After working in several mediums I fell in love with the process of collage. I derive a great deal of pleasure from the physicality of the cutting, arranging and gluing, as well as the textures of the papers and boards. I think a lot about the creatures and plants that exist in the world in spite of or along side us that seem to have so little to do with our daily lives. I like to let those creatures and plants become the focus of a unique universe, one where nature interacts with or is placed around human artifaces. My process of creating is intuitive. The individual components are pulled together around a central object. The finished pieces may be like dream fragments. The images in our dreams are not easily articulated in teh waking world, but a part of us is drawn to try to place them in an ordinary context and create meaning around them. Just imagine
